📄SpaceTEE paper

The SpaceTEE paper from 2017, by Michalevsky and Winetraub, explored the idea of using small satellites (Cubesats) to protect cryptographic operations. It coined the term SpaceTEE, referring to a Trusted Execution Environment physically isolated in space.

It's important to note that the capabilities of Cryptosat satellites (Crypto1, Crypto2) are far better than the capabilities discussed in that early paper, with more compute, storage and bandwidth.
